• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap anywhere on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the language list box to choose a language,
  • On the top right corner of the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Select the enlarge button to switch between windowed and full screen modes
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s audio on or off
    • Select the music button to turn the game’s music on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your best score..
    • Your best score appears below the play button on the welcome screen.
    • Select Hold Here to Clear Your Progress to clear your previously saved game data. This cannot be undone.

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Connect 3 or more identical icons in a chain to merge them.
      • Select one icon to begin the chain.
      • Select the next identical icon, and then another to form the chain.
      • You can connect the icons horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.
      • However, you cannot the chain through an icon twice.
    • You earn points for each identical set of icons you merge.
      • Larger chains are worth geometrically increasing score amounts.
      • Each icon has the same value in of points scored, but the icons merge in a set order to other icons.
      • When you merge a chain all icons from that chain are replaced by a single icon which appears where the final icon in your chain was located, then other icons fall down from the top of the screen.
    • Each time you merge icons into one not previously shown onscreen, a splash screen of the new icon appears.
      • Close the splash screen by selecting OK on the bottom center of the screen.
      • If you have icons which are more than 5 generations apart the lowest ranked icon will merge to the next icon up & you will not be dealt any more icons of the type that was removed.
    • Keep playing until you run out of viable chains to link.
      • When the game ends, select the reset button to start over or the home button to quit and return to the welcome screen.

  • Scoring
    • Each icon is worth 2 points. The minimum number of points you earn per move is 6.
    • Your previous high score appears on the top center below your current score. Even if you beat this score, it does not update until you end your current session.
  • Tips
    • Larger sets
      • It is worth making larger moves when possible, as your score for each move is the number of tiles in the set times the number of tiles in a set minus 1.
        • If you make 2 sets of 3 you will earn 12 points (3*2)+(3*2).
        • If you make a set of 6 you will earn 30 points (6*5).
      • Early on in the game when you have few tile types it is easy to make large sets.
        • You can score around 700 points by repeatedly merging all the snowflakes into candles & then only making your first candle merge into snow covered trees after about 18 of the tiles are candles.
        • Making large sets gets harder as you discover more tile tyles.
    • Starting & ending chains
      • Typically it makes sense to make one long chain, however in some cases it can make sense to make two shorter chains if it enables you to create another set of 3.
      • You can be rather flexible with where you start and end chains through the use of vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.
