• Starting the Game
  • The game automatically loads you into active play. Press down to start playing.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use the left arrow key to move left.
    • Use the right arrow key to move right.
    • Use the down arrow key to fall down one platform.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on screen controls along the bottom of the game.
      • Move left is in the lower left.
      • Fall downward is bottom center.
      • Move right is in the lower right.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Your current game score is in the upper left corner.
    • Your all-time high score is in the upper right corner.
• Game Play
  • Game goal
    • The goal is to do as much damage as you can to the monster in the sky without dying.
    • As you bounce around the platforms the lava at the bottom of the screen continues to climb higher. You must avoid getting hit by the lava & avoid shots fired by the monster in the sky.
    • When you get hit once by anything or fall into the lava it is game over.
  • Enemy attacks
    • When you start the game the robot monster in the sky shoots a ball of energy at you periodically.
    • As you climb higher it throws two balls at you at the same time & shoots lasers from its eyes.
      • Where the laser beam will appear shows up with a light preview beam momentarily before the shot.
      • Evade drastically horizontally if possible & vertically if not.
  • Power ups
    • There are 2 power ups in the game.
      • The yellow power up is a defensive force field which protects you from taking damage temporarily.
      • The ball power up enables you to shoot upward at the monster.
  • Scoring
    • Each time you place a bomb on a battery you gain 10 points.
    • Hitting the monster with the power up shot also scores you 10 points. You can hit them many times in a row with the energy ball to earn a high score.
  • Playing tips
    • White platforms
      • You automatically jump upward whenever you walk on the white platforms.
      • This can help you jump over chasms without falling in the lava, but it can also be frustrating if you are trying to descend.
      • If you fall onto a white platform it will bounce you back upward.
      • To avoid falling on a white platform sometimes you have to press left or right after pressing down so you move laterally while falling.
    • Batteries
      • Each time you blow up a battery the platform level at the bottom of the screen quickly turns invisible and disappears.
      • Be ready to bounce upward on a white trampoline platform quickly after dropping a bomb.
      • You then need to find where the next bomb is located to get ready to bring it to the next battery.
    • Maximizing your score
      • Your enemy gets far tougher as you climb higher by shooting 2 balls at the same time & shooting lasers from its eyes.
      • Each battery you blow up is only worth 10 points, but hitting the enemy with a power ball is also worth 10 points & you can shoot them dozens of times in a row early in the game to score hundreds of points. The key to maximizing your score is to collect the shooting power up early in the game and use it aggressively until it runs out.
      • As you get further into the game and the attacks you face are tougher to evade it makes sense to play more conservatively.
