• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen
    • Select Play to begin.
    • Select Full-Screen to switch between windowed and full screen modes.
    • Select Sound to turn the game’s sounds on or off.

  • Setting up
    • Pick a level to play.
    • Choose a difficulty level:
      • Easy

  • Basic rules
    • Your turret must move to keep attacking.
      • Move your turret from left to right as needed.
      • Keep the turret in motion close to the enemy target platforms to wear them down.
      • Shoot until the target is destroyed.
    • As you shoot the red targets, they will retaliate by sending shots of their own.
      • The previously white targets will turn red once all the previous red targets are down.
      • You can evade these shots or destroy them with your own. One shot cancels out another.
        • One way to minimize the danger of enemy shots is to simply keep shooting. Once you’re close to the edge, start moving to the opposite direction.
        • This will send a barrage of your bullets flying toward your enemy’s bullets. This effectively creates a shield of bullets close to you.
      • Don’t let the shots hit you.
        • Bullets sometimes ricochet.
          • If they go at a shallow enough angle, you might not be able to shoot them.
          • In these cases, it’s often better to move away just a little bit to avoid it.
        • Sometimes, it’s better to try and evade a bullet rather than shoot it.
        • Spinning red targets will send bullets flying in multiple directions.
      • Bullets fired by the enemy can damage enemy targets. You can use this to your advantage when dealing with spinning targets.
        • By shooting targets while they’re facing away from you, their shots will be directed inwards.
        • When they do this, they are more likely to hit one of their own.
        • This also has the side effect of keeping you safe from enemy fire.
    • Take out all the enemy targets onscreen to clear the level.
    • On the very last stage, the final targets will reveal another, smaller target under them. Destroy both of these to win.
  • Lives
    • You start each level with 3 lives, represented by hearts on the bottom left corner of the screen.
    • Each time you get hit by enemy fire, you lose a life.
    • Lose all your lives and it’s game over.
    • You can replenish your lives by picking up hearts that the enemies drop.
  • Levels
    • Stages are unlocked sequentially.
      • You start your playthrough at the first stage.
      • Finish one stage to unlock the next.
    • If you die, you have the option of starting from the first stage or from any of the other stages you unlocked.
      • We recommend starting from the beginning to earn more points.
    • There are 15 levels in this game.
  • Scoring
    • You earn points for every shot you make.
      • You get 1 point from hitting starting red targets.
      • You get 3 points from hitting the once-white targets once the previous red ones are gone.
      • You can also earn 1 point for hitting the white targets before taking out the red ones.
    • The shots you make only need to land to earn points.
      • You earn “friendly fire” shots made by the enemy against itself.
      • Even if you do die, you will still receive points from any stray shot that lands on an enemy.
    • Your score is cumulative across several levels.
      • The more levels you play through without losing all 3 lives, the higher your score will be.
  • Tips
    • Early levels
      • You can move left or right consistently back and forth on early levels to leave a constant trail of bullets which hits most ricochet shots.
    • Damage vs strategy
      • If you have limited health you can try to take on the flat platforms until your health is fully restored.
      • If you have full health you can take on the spinning square, triangle, or round platforms until you take damage.
    • Playing defensive
      • In many cases sitting stationary near the left or right edge of the screen does a great job of protecting you.
      • Your shots only ricochet off of pink platforms, so you can aim at parts of the level with no pink platforms if you do not want to have shots ricochet back at you but still need to move.
      • If you are waiting for a heart to fall toward you then stay stationary until it is low on the screen and move over to it.
      • You can move back and forth ever so slightly when shooting at a flat platform so your shots ricocheting back at you are hit by your other shots.
