• Starting the Game
  • Select the Play button on the game’s welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Initially only the first level is accessible.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially each time you beat a level.
    • You can go back and replay previously beat levels.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels and level scores.
  • Under the Play button are buttons to read gameplay help advice, view your high scores, and play other games on our site.
  • The welcome screen has a language select dropdown in the lower left corner.
  • The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for social sharing and game developer information.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Select an open tile with your mouse left click button & then select an identical matching open tile to remove both from the game.
    • Most tiles must be identical to match, however you can match any open dragon tile with another open dragon tile & match any open season tile with another open season tile.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Select an open tile on the screen by tapping it with a finger & then select an identical matching open tile to remove both from the game.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The right rail has the game’s controls.
      • At the top of the right column it shows your current level number, level score, and remaining time to beat the current level.
      • Under those data points are are 6 buttons to pause the game, switch to full screen mode, shuffle tiles, take a hint, control game sound, and control game music.
• Game Play
  • Open stones
    • A stone (or tile) is considered open if there is no tile directly on top of it & at least one of its left or right sides is open.
      • Only open tiles can be matched.
      • Tiles which are open have a brighter background color & tiles which are not open have a darker background color.
    • Identical tile matching
      • In most cases you can only match identical open tiles.
      • This game has 2 exceptions to the identical rule of thumb:
        • Open dragon tiles can be matched with any other open dragon tiles.
        • Open season tiles can be matches with any other open season tiles.
      • Outside of season & dragon tiles you can use the tile colors to help you quickly scan for potential matches (e.g. you can only match brightly colored tiles & green must match with an identical tile which is thus also green).
    • When no matches remain the tiles are automatically shuffled.
      • Conversely, this means that if the tiles have not shuffled you know there is at least 1 open match remaining.
      • Open tiles have a yellow border on them when you have selected them.
        • If you chose the wrong tile then selecting any other non-matching tile will deselect the prior tile.
    • Some tiles from taller stacks can obscure part of tiles on shorter stacks. If you can’t find a match it might be because part of the tile is obfuscated.
      • Generally it is best to go for the widest rows and tallest columns first to open up the playing field, but the unlimited free shuffles makes that less important in this game.
  • Levels
    • This game has 100 levels with unique layouts & a custom time limit on each.
    • On the level select screen you can choose to play any of the prior beat levels or choose to play the next level you have yet to beat.
    • Time limits for early levels is around 2:00, though as you progress through the game time limits increase as the boards get more complex.
    • Early levels tend to have around 30 tile pairs each, with later levels having more tiles.
    • You beat a level by removing all tiles from the playing field.
      • If there are multiple tiles remaining in a stack & no other tiles remain on the level then the level is also complete as shuffling can not display an open pair if the only remaining tiles are on top of each other.
      • If you do not beat a level before the timer runs out you can choose to try again or end the game.
  • Scoring
    • Your game score is cumulative across stages.
    • Each tile pair match you make is worth 50 points.
    • Each second you have remaining when you complete a level is worth 10 points.
    • Shuffling tiles costs 500 points.
    • Tile matching hints cost 100 points.

  • The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Solitaire tile matching games.
    • Making open tiles a brighter background color, using colorful tiles, and starting off with simple level designs with a short time limit and few pairs to match makes this game a great introduction to Mahjong Solitaire.
