• Starting the Game
  • Press ENTER or click anywhere on the game loading screen to bring up the game’s welcome screen.
  • Select PLAY GAME on the game welcome screen.
    • If it is your first game play you will start on the first level.
    • If you have played the game before your web browser saves your game progress & you’ll start on whichever level you played the last time.
  • The welcome screen has a button in the lower left corner to reset your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • To move left you can press A or the left arrow key.
    • To move right you can press D or the right arrow key.
    • To jump you can press W or the up arrow key.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on screen controls.
      • The move left & right buttons are in the lower left corner.
      • The jump button is in the lower right corner.
• Game Play
  • Enemies
    • There are mainly 2 types of enemies in this game: cannon balls & blue goblins.
      • Cannons fire cannon balls on a regular cadence horizontally or vertically. You should simply avoid the cannon fire to survive.
      • The blue goblins can be killed by landing on them after jumping or falling off of a platform.
        • On most levels the blue goblins stay on the platform they are on & do not change elevations. The exception to this rule is level 28, where they keep respawning and walk off platform.
  • Dying
    • You die if you run into a cannonball, run into a blue goblin, run into spikes, or fall off platform.
    • This game offers unlimited continues & starts you at the beginning of the level you died on.
  • Game features
    • This game consists of the standard fare of most platforming games where you can single jump & can defeat enemies by jumping on them. A few other extras this game offers are:
      • Red switches you must hit to make some platforms appear and/or make other platforms disappear.
        • On some levels you have to hit the switches early, while on other levels you have to collect all the coins before activating the switch.
      • Umbrellas allow you to float when you jump, which enables you to cover a broader horizontal region for the vertical height of a fall.
        • After jumping let go of the jump button then press it again and hold it in to float.
        • When you use the umbrella and are playing with a keyboard it can be helpful to use the left and right arrows to move left and right, while using the W key to control your float, enabling you to repeatedly switch left / right directions without risking turning off the umbrella’s parachute gliding effect.
      • You only have a regular single jump in this game. There is no double jump feature. There are a couple ways to jump higher though.
        • Some levels have springs on them which you can jump on to get more elevation on your jump.
        • If you jump onto an enemy on level 28 while holding the jump button in you can bounce up high, which allows you to get onto the top platform.
      • Ladders
        • When you climb ladders in this game you can not stop half way, but rather rapidly ascend to the top.
  • Levels
    • This game has 32 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • Whenever you beat a level you can not go back and replay that level without erasing your game progress and replaying all levels up until that point.
    • Coins
      • Levels have three coins on them you must collect.
      • On most levels the coins are just sitting out there in the open & you have to collect them, but on some levels you have to defeat some of the blue goblins to get the coins to appear.
    • After collecting all 3 coins on each level a gold cup appears at the end of the stage.
      • The game makes a sound when the gold cup appears.
      • Reach the gold cup to beat the level.
      • The cup can be located anywhere on the level.
    • Most levels are quite easy to beat, though beating them can take patience due to one-hit death.
      • The one level which is a bit tricky is level 28. You can take the platform across the top above the edge of the screen, then to get back you have to jump on an enemy to bounce high onto the top platform & go back across.
