• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Choose the customization options to change the aesthetics and difficulty of the game.
      • Select a difficulty number.
      • Select one of two possible game backgrounds.
      • Select whether the game’s audio effects are on or off.
    • Once you’re happy with your selection, select Start Game on the bottom center to begin in earnest.

  • Basic rules
    • Choose how difficult you want the computer to be on a scale of 1 to 5, and choose to play on a gray background or a beach-colored scene.
      • You begin with a 7 x 7 grid.
    • You and the computer player drop chips onto the board once per turn.
      • Drop a chip anywhere on the board on your turn.
      • By default, you start first.
      • After your turn, the computer player will analyze the board and then drop its own chip.
    • Keep dropping chips until you or the computer player form a full horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row.
      • Stop the your opponent from doing the same by blocking their pieces.
    • The game ends when one of you forms a full row or you run out of spaces to place anything in.
  • Difficulty
    • Unlike our other Connect 4-inspired game, this one has adjustable difficulties.
    • You can tone down the game’s AI to make the computer player easier to beat. This makes the game better suited for beginners.
