    • Jump across the level and pick up as many of the smaller gems as you can.
    • Defeat or avoid any enemy you come across.

      • Beneath each chasm is ice-cold water.
      • Fall into a chasm and it’s an instant game over.
    • Magic barriers
      • Magical barriers shoot up from the water.
      • You must wait for the barrier to fall to safely jump across.
      • Work fast: it will jump again.
    • Enemies
      • Enemies can attack up close and from a distance.
      • Making with enemies also uses up your lives.
      • For enemies that fire ranged attacks, you can dodge their attacks by jumping.
      • You can attack enemies from any distance as long as your shots are at the same plane.
    • Ice
      • Some areas of the level have ice.
      • Moving is dangerous in icy ground as you often slide around.
      • The only way to reduce this is by standing still.
  • Lives
    • Each time an enemy attacks you, you lose one life.
      • You begin the game with 3 lives.
      • If you lose all your lives, it’s game over.
      • You can replenish your lives by collecting hearts in and around the level.
    • Each time you fall into the icy water, it’s an instant game over.
    • Restarting a level after dying replenishes all your previous lives.
  • Jewels
    • Collect tiny yellow and white jewels to score points.
    • Each time you die, the game saves the amount of jewels you’ve already.
      • It still respawns the jewels in the level.
      • This means that you can collect several times as many jewels just by replaying the game.
  • Attacking
    • To attack with your staff, you need large magenta gems.
      • You start the game with 10 gems.
      • Each attack uses 1 gem.
    • Collect gems across the level to replenish your spells.
    • Attack your enemies sparingly to conserve your gems.
