  • Strategy
    • When you adjust gravity it does not immediately impact the ball’s direction, but first impacts momentum.
      • You must adjust gravity before you want the ball to change directions so the ball has time to slow down to a vertical stop before moving in opposite vertical direction.
    • Impacting speed
      • If the ball moves quickly it can be hard to time the gravity adjustments.
      • There are 2 ways to slow the ball down:
        • When the ball is moving on an uneven plane you can adjust gravity early so the ball barely touches the uneven plane with slow speed and then press gravity again to quickly disengage it from the plane so that it is moving slowly vertically & horizontally.
        • If a ball is making a large vertical transition (e.g. falling from near the top of the playing field to near the bottom, or the other way around) you can reverse gravity multiple times throughout the movement sequence to make it as though the ball is falling from a narrower drop off.
    • When you adjust the ball’s height through narrow areas be sure you do not bump into the outer sides of a flat platform or else you will lose your horizontal momentum.
