• Starting the Game

  • Basic rules
    • Dig a path for the ball to enter the cup.
      • The ball will appear somewhere close to the top of the screen.
      • The bowl will be somewhere below, often just offscreen. You must dig down to scroll down toward it.
      • Make sure that the balls fall onto the bowls of the correct color.
    • Avoid hazards like platforms and blades.
    • You can only use gravity to bring the ball down.
      • See if you can dig the hole on a gentle incline.
      • Don’t let the ball get past the level where the bowl is.
    • If you find yourself stuck, select the reset button to start the level all over again.
  • Tips
    • As your ball rolls deeper down the screen moves as well, though with a bit of a lag. This means it is easy to dig too deep if you dig right away when you think the screen has stopped moving & the screen starts moving again due to the ball moving.
    • A way to get around the vertically scrolling screen issue is to dig a path from the bottom upward and connect to the ball near the end. If the ball holder is multiple screens down you can repeat this process a couple times in a row.
    • When digging across it is helpful to dig a wider angle so your ball does not get caught on the front lip of the ball holder.
    • Try not to dig too close to the left or right edge of the playing field as your ball can roll out of frame.
    • Some levels have multiple balls on them.
      • Each ball needs to go into the holder of the same color as the ball.
      • In some cases you need to create separate paths for the balls & in some cases you need them to share a single path that later diverges.
      • If balls share the same path as each other it is typically to put the balls in the reverse order you will use them. If you have 3 balls which are blue, yellow, and green and you would play them in that order (e.g. blue ball put in a holder first) then in most cases you would want to put the blue ball as the topmost ball in the stack.
    • If you are unsure of the course ahead it helps to keep the balls somewhat close to the center of the course so you do not need to move it as far laterally to make it into a holder & so you can evade obstacles by turning either direction.
