• Starting the Game
  • Click the green button on the game’s loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Click the orange button on the game’s welcome screen to start the game.
    • This will bring you to the level select screen.
    • Initially only the first level is unlocked. Subsequent levels are unlocked each time you beat a level.
    • Your web browser automatically stores your level progress, ratings, and achievements.
  • The welcome screen has buttons to control sounds and see in-game achievements.

    • Use your mouse left click to break ice blocks.
    • Use your mouse left click on catapults to fire them.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with your finger to use it like a mouse.
• Game Play
  • Interface
    • In the upper left corner it shows if you have acquired the ham and how many seconds you have remaining to obtain the time-based star bonus.
    • In the upper right corner there are buttons to restart the level or go to the level select screen.
  • Levels
    • This game has 36 levels of increasing complexity as you play through them. You must beat each level to progress to the next level.
    • Initially the first 3 levels only have a single star rating and your only goal is to get the prawn to the cat.
    • As you progress through levels additional stars can be earned by having the prawn touch ham (levels 4 through 36) & get the prawn to the cat quickly (levels 6 through 36).
    • If you earn 2 of 3 stars in a play & then go back and earn 2 of 3 stars while collecting one of the stars you missed your rating on the level will still be 2. You need to get all 3 stars in a single to get a 3 star rating on a level.
    • You can replay any level from the level select screen to try to get a better rating on it.
  • Level Design Elements
    • Stone Blocks – these fall straight down. Stone items can be used to shield the salami from dangers, to to provide force to spin a lever.
    • Stone Wheels – these are similar to the salami except they are heavier and slower moving.
    • Ice Blocks – these are what hold things in place initially & need to be broke in the correct order to convert gravitational force into directional momentum. Some ice blocks are flat, others are angled, and some also have a rounded cup shape and move, which enables you to move the salami from one part of a level to another
    • Cheese blocks – these operate just like ice blocks.
    • Levers – redirects momentum using gravity. In some cases you need to time how multiple items hit a lever in close proximity, or you may need to let the salami roll part way on a lever then break a underneath it
    • Catapults – fires salami, stone rocks & other items. quite often you will need to clear out other items so they do not misdirect your directional force
    • Moving walkways – give you momentum in the direction the center arrow points. You can click the center arrow to change the direction as many times as you would like.
    • Electric Charges – one hit death. In this game some charges are constant while others cycle on and off.
    • Spikes – one hit death. In this game some spikes are static while others periodically retract.
  • Strategy
    • On timed levels the level timer does not start until after you click to break an item, so look at the level design for a while to figure out your strategy before you begin.
    • If you make a mistake don’t be afraid to use the level restart button in the upper right corner.
    • If you find getting every star on a level frustrating then move on to the next level and later come back to the one you were stuck on.
    • Getting all stars often requires precise timing of movements. In some cases you need to break blocks just after the shrimp left an area or just before it approaches the area. You may need to cause the shrimp to fall over an electric charge that is still active so it goes out just before it falls past it, so you can then fire it out with a catapult in the opposite direction before the charge activates.
    • The direction the shrimp moves in while falling or being fired from a catapult matters a great deal. In some cases you want the shrimp to move in one direction until it runs out of momentum then build up speed and move in the opposite direction.

  • The game is suited for players of all ages who like physics and logic puzzles, shrimp, or cats – everyone should like this game. 🙂
    • The level design is easy enough for younger patient children to beat (even if they do not collect the time bonus).
    • Collecting all 3 stars in the levels by beating them before time runs out is quite challenging even for adults who regularly play these sorts of games.
