• Starting the Game
  • Click on the play button at the bottom center of the welcome screen.
  • To open the tutorial, click on the How to Play button below the play button.
    • At the end of the tutorial is a play button.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
• Game Controls
  • Mobile
    • Swipe up twice to pull a carrot.
    • Swipe left and right to move.
    • Swipe down to hide in a hole.
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse like your fingers. Click and drag instead of swiping.
    • The controls on this game on desktop are frustrating. The game is far easier and more fun on mobile.
  • The upper left corner of the screen shows your current carrot stock and what the daily goal is, along with what day you are on.
  • At the top center of the screen there is a meter which shows how much time you have remaining.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Pull out as many carrots before the day ends.
      • You must meet the day’s quota of carrots to proceed to the next day.
      • Avoid being seen by Yosemite Sam, or it’s game over.
      • After every game over, you start from the very beginning.
  • Pulling carrots.
    • To pull a carrot, you must swipe or click and drag twice.
    • Each carrot you pull out is worth 10 points.
    • Sometimes, you pull out a power up carrot that makes you invisible.
    • Sometimes, you pull out a radish, which is worth no points.
      • It comes complete with a farting noise so you know you screwed up.
  • Avoiding Sam
    • Sam has a limited field of view (3 tiles, 1 where he’s looking at directly across from him and 1 to either side).
      • The best way to avoid him is to walk and collect carrots in the opposite direction.
      • It is sometimes possible to do most of your collecting on one side, away from Sam.
    • If you do cross paths with him, the second best option is to hide in a hole.
      • Swipe or click and drag down to jump into a hole.
      • To jump back up, click and drag or swipe up.
        • Hiding can waste valuable time if you haven’t collected enough carrots.
        • Sam can also linger too long.
      • When Sam changes direction toward you, move toward the closest hole if you think you can’t get past him in time.
    • Try to steer clear of Sam’s field of vision by at least 2 tiles, so if he moves extra or you were off by a tile you are still ok.
  • Dying
    • If Sam sees you or you end a day with less than the daily go the game is over.
    • When the game ends you start back at the first level if you play again.
• Strategy
  • Play aggressively in the first few levels to earn higher scores.
    • As the game progresses, the days grow short and Sam becomes more vigilant.
    • You can pull out four times your quota on the first day or more if you play aggressively.
    • Save conservative game play for later levels.
• Target Audience
  • This game is suited for all audiences.
  • There is no adult content in this game.
