• Starting the Game
  • Click anywhere on the title screen to start.
  • You will see a map. You need to find every missing item and return them to the locker.
  • Select a level. If you haven’t played the game before, select the first level.
  • Next, you will see the instruction screen. Click X to start.
  • “I’m ready! I’m ready!”
  • You know he’s ready.
• Game Controls
  • Use the arrow keys to control SpongeBob.
  • The pause button at the top right of the screen gives access to the menu.
    • The play button returns you to the game.
    • The trophy button shows the achievements completed.
    • The ? button shows you the instructions.
    • The speaker button toggles the sound off and on.
    • The X button will restart the game.
  • You can access the locker by clicking on it from the Map screen. This will show you the items you’ve collected.
• Game Play
  • Find missing items. You also need to navigate your way out of the maze.
  • The game starts with SpongeBob in the darkened room. Run around using the arrow keys.
  • Use the grease-trap to teleport between rooms.
  • Use the big red switches to open doors. These doors and switches may be in different areas of the maze. Hint: You will need to open the door in the first round in order to collect one of the items. On level two, you will need to open two.
  • Collect the tasty mints.
  • Look for the missing items. These items are shown on the meter at the top left of the screen. In the first round, these items are sunglasses, pipe and false teeth.
  • Avoid the spikes, or you will be sent back to the beginning of the level.
  • You can’t see all of the maze at once. A good way to cover a maze is to use the fireman’s method. Take every left hand turn, or every right hand turn, in order to find the perimeter.
  • You are racing against the clock. So go quickly.
  • Larry the Lobster will prompt and guide you. He will encourage you to race for the exit once you’ve collected all the items. Try to where it is! Hint: look for the green arrow.
  • Various characters inhabit the maze of rooms. Avoid Old Man Jenkins as he charges around on his wheelchair and Abigail as she wanders aimlessly like a fishy ghost.
  • You earn achievements when you collect the stated number of mints.
  • Level four features mining elves and gem carts on rails. Avoid these hazards.
  • Level five features dinosaurs and pits.
  • Level six features a shining gold vault.
  • A new, bonus seventh level is a ghoulish and ghostly Halloween level!
  • Complete all the levels, and you’ll see a special victory animation.
• Level Solution Guide
  • Round One (spoilers):
    • Go up and find the button. Switch it. this will open the door.
    • Go up and past the grease trap to find the false teeth.
    • Go through the grease trap to find the sunglasses.
    • Go back through the grease trap and up to find the pipe.
    • The pipe is towards the top right.
    • Go left. The key is near the pipe.
    • Once you collect the pipe, the exit door will open.
  • Halloween Level (spoilers):
    • The sack is in the middle of the first stage of the maze, down past the gravestones.
    • Go through the grease trap.
    • Find the door button. It’s in the middle of a group of spikes.
    • Go up through the door.
    • The pumpkin is towards the middle of this stage.
    • You’ll find another door button during this stage. Activate it.
    • Go down through the door. The witches hat can be found in this sector, down towards the bottom of the maze.
    • The exit door will now open.
    • The rest is up to you to solve! , it’s easier to your turns if you keep them consistent i.e. take every left, or every right. Reverse them to find your way back.
• Audience
  • This game suits all ages.
    • Younger children will enjoy the graphics and ease of play, but they might find the mazes a little difficult as the level design is complex, particularly for a web based game.
    • Older children wand adults will enjoy the challenge of the maze complexity combined with the level time limits.
  • There are no adult themes in this game.
