• Starting the Game
  • Tap the circle with triangle in the middle of the game’s loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Tap the circle with a triangle in the middle of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right.
  • Across the bottom of the welcome screen are buttons for game developer information, resetting game progress, viewing achievements, and playing more games.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select the cutting button near the bottom of the game and drag it into position. Release the left click button to begin your cut.
    • Tap on the button near the bottom to rotate its direction if it has a rotation circle around it & you would like to rotate it.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select the cutting button near the bottom of the game and drag it into position. Lift your finger to begin cutting.

  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the ball shows how many mistakes you can make.
    • The top center shows how many pieces you have sliced off from the level.
    • Underneath the level number is a meter which shows how close you are to reaching the level goal.
    • When you beat a level it shows how many lives you had remaining and how many pieces were used to slice away the level.
    • The upper right corner of the game shows what level number you are playing.
    • The achievements menu shows when you have beat levels 3, 6, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, and 27.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a spatial puzzle game where your goal is to slice away most of the playing field.
      • When you lay a cutting piece into the field it then cuts from that piece locations to the edges of the layout, following the directions of the arrows on your piece.
      • Some cut pieces can be rotated, with each rotation command turning the piece 90 degrees.
    • Obstacles
      • This game features a variety of obstacles you must avoid with your cuts.
        • White balls – white balls move around the level, bouncing off of the level walls & any boxes in the levels.
          • Starting in level 19 you not only face the initial white balls which are shown at the start of the level, but additional balls are generated periodically.
          • You can remove some of the white balls from the stage by cutting off the part of the level they are on – provided your cut is complete before any ball runs into your cutting line.
        • Fixed boxes – these remain stationary & you may not cut through them.
          • Fixed boxes first appear in level 6.
          • Some levels have many fixed boxes in them, while others have few & large fixed boxes.
        • Moving boxes – these are similar to a fusion of fixed boxes and white balls.
          • They can bounce off of balls & move around the course, but you can not hit them with your slices.
          • Moving boxes appear in level 18 onward.
        • Black balls – these are fast moving balls, which move far more quickly than balls early in the game.
          • Super fast balls appear in levels 23 onward.
  • Levels
    • This game has 27 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win by slicing away most of the course without losing all 3 balls.
      • You lose if 3 of your slices run into balls or boxes before reaching the edges.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Tips
    • Lay strategy
      • In general it makes sense to play more aggressively early in a level & less aggressively as you get closer to completing the level goal.
      • If you have a straight piece that can turn you typically want to turn it to where it is ing a narrow portion of the course & then lay it in the narrowest section.
      • L-shaped cuts are easier to lay than straight cuts as you can lay them rather close to the corners & the cut lines do not take long to reach the edges.
    • Fast balls
      • On later stages the balls move faster, requiring you to make more conservative cuts or cuts which are timed almost perfectly.
    • Respawning balls
      • Some stages have rapidly respawning balls on them.
      • Try to make large cuts early in those levels before many balls are present so you do not need to make large cuts as the level fills up with balls.
      • Play aggressive early and don’t be afraid if you are required to restart, as waiting around guarantees the level grows more difficult by the second.
    • Large boxes
      • Some levels have a large rectangle running through the center of them.
      • Whenever possible try to cut parallel to the main direction the rectangle runs so that you are not stuck with impossible plays if you get a straight cutting piece that can not turn.
