• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select New Game to begin.
    • Select Setting to choose a grid size. There are 3 to choose from:
      • 3 x 3
      • 4 x 4
      • 5 x 5
    • Select Help to open the game’s tutorial screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on a space on the grid to place in your monster.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on a space to place in your monster.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right)
    • Top row:
      • Timer
      • Pause button: Stops the timer
      • Grid size button: Quits the game and starts a new one of a different size
      • Undo button: Takes back the last move you make
    • Bottom row:
      • 3D: Switches to the 3D version of the game
      • 2D: Switches to a classic 2D view of the game
      • Information button: Opens the game’s tutorial screen
      • Home button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
      • Speaker button: Turns the game’s audio on and off
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Place in monsters on the grid.
      • Left click or tap on a space to place a monster in.
      • The computer player will, after awhile, place its own monster on another
      • You start with a 3 x 3 grid by default. 4 x 4 and 5 x 5 grids are also available.
    • If you’re not satisfied with your last move, hit the undo button.
    • You can use the undo button indefinitely on your
    • Form a full horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row of monsters on the grid before the computer player does.
    • You can also end a game in a draw if you can’t win.
      • This means both you and your opponent cannot make a full row.
  • 2D and 3D
    • You can switch between 2 graphical modes of the game by selecting the 2D and 3D buttons on the bottom row.
    • The 3D game allows you to view the game from all angles and provides an immersive if challenging gaming experience.
    • The 2D option lets you switch back to the 2 dimensional strategy
• Tips
  • Note: Most of the tips here apply to the classic 3 x 3 games.
    • To win in 4×4 or 5×5 is harder than 3×3 as you still have to make a full row, but need to make 1 or 2 more additions to your row.
  • Your victory largely depends on your opening moves.
    • If you go first, the best place to start are the corners.
    • If you go second, you must do the opposite of where your opponent starts. Take the center if they went for a corner and vice versa.
    • Do not start in an edge piece that isn’t a corner.
  • Try to keep things symmetrical. If you can’t take the center space, take the opposite corner.
  • If you are in a position where you can’t win, see if you can force a draw.
