• Starting the Game
  • Select the New Game button in the lower center of the welcome screen to start a new game, or select Continue to resume a prior game.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including coin savings and purchased upgrades.
  • Right of the character on the welcome screen there is a sound control button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move near trees or collect their wood.
    • Your lumberjack automatically chops down adjacent trees.
    • Use your mouse left click button to purchase upgrades.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to use the on screen controls.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper right corner of the game shows your carried wood, wood carrying capacity, cash income, and has 2 buttons for saving the game and controlling game sound.
    • The game has an exit button in the upper left corner.
    • When you scroll over the upgrades area it shows the cost of the next upgrade for each attribute & shows MAX if you have maxed out an upgrade.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Get close to trees to chop them down.
      • You can position yourself so that you are chopping multiple trees at the same time.
      • After a period of time trees re-appear where they were cut down.
    • Collect the wood from each tree.
      • If your inventory is full the wood will remain on the ground where it was chopped, allowing you to later collect it.
    • Bring the wood back to the depot to sell it.
    • Use your income earned to purchase character upgrades and advance through the game.
  • Upgrades
    • Axe – unlock stronger axes and chainsaws, which make quick work of the trees. The first upgrade costs 5 coins.
    • Bag – increase your wood carrying capacity. Initially you can carry 5 wood & it goes up to 200,000 when fully upgraded. The first upgrade costs 10 coins & increases your carrying capacity to 50.
    • Speed – move faster. The first upgrade costs 20 coins.
    • Timberlands – unlock multiple tree types, with later trees being worth more income. The first upgrade costs 50 coins.
    • Each feature can be upgraded a number of times & then gets maxed out.
      • It is best to upgrade the axe first, then the bag.
      • After upgrading the axe and the bag once you can move onto upgrading the timberland & then upgrade all features in parallel as you advance through the game.
  • Tree Types
    • This game has 7 different tree types in it.
      • Green trees drop a single piece of wood worth 1 coin.
      • Pink trees drop a single piece of wood worth 5 coins.
      • Blue trees drop a bundle of 3 pieces of wood worth 15 coins each, or 45 total coins.
      • Gold trees drop a bundle of 3 pieces of wood worth 80 coins each, or 240 total coins.
      • Silver trees drop a bundle of 3 pieces of wood worth 110 coins each, or 330 total coins.
      • Red trees drop a bundle of 3 pieces of wood worth 150 coins each, or 450 total coins.
      • The final tree type is the ending tree in the game.
    • Final tree
      • When you chop at the final tree you take away some of its health until it drops an apple or other trees appear.
      • Whenever an apple appears you must collect it to be able to do additional damage to the tree.
      • Other trees that appear as part of the ending sequence must be chopped down before resuming falling the final tree. In many cases when you do damage to the other trees it will also damage the final tree.
      • When you chop down the final tree the game is beat.
      • You can continue a game after beating the final tree & beat it again while retaining all your equipped upgrades.
