Run through the streets of Gotham City as Batman. Collect coins, dodge obstacles, and capture the Riddler’s goons.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the start button on the bottom right corner to begin.
    • On your first playthrough, a brief slideshow cutscene will play showing the game’s premise.
  • On the bottom left corner are the following buttons:
    • Reset button: Clear your previous progress and start from the beginning
    • Sound button: Use this to turn the game’s audio on and off
  • On the top right corner are the coins you collected.
  • Next to the play button is the game’s store. Use it to buy upgrades.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use the left and right arrow keys to switch lanes.
    • Use the up arrow key to jump.
    • Use the down arrow key to slide.
    • Use the spacebar for the following actions:
      • Fire a Batarang at one of Riddler’s henchmen.
      • Fire a grappling hook at a building.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although the game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.
  • Controls & indicators
    • On the left are the following indicators:
      • The number of coins you collected
      • The number of henchmen you caught
      • Your power-up’s duration appears below these two indicators.
    • On the right are the following:
      • Your score
      • The pause button

  • Basic tasks
    • As Batman, keep running for as long as you can.
    • Jump, dodge, or slide over the various obstacles standing in your way.
    • Capture the Riddler’s goons.
    • The game ends when you hit something.
  • Scoring
    • Your score is a combination of 2 things:
      • The distance you ran (1 meter = 1 point)
      • The number of villains you caught (500 each)
    • Activate the score boost power up to improve your score even more.
  • Activating power ups
    • Batman has access to 3 types of power ups:
      • Invincibility: Temporarily makes Batman invincible
      • Coin magnet: Brings the coins to Batman
      • Score boost: Increases your score
    • These power ups last for only a few seconds (times shown in the table below).
    • The pick ups do not appear until after you unlock them in the in-game store.
    • Use the coins to unlock them and make further upgrades to make them last longer.

Initially when the game starts pick ups do not appear in the game. They appear in game as things you can activate by running over after you purchase at least the first tier of each. Other than the upgrade costs the numbers in the table below are how many seconds the upgrade stays active for.
