      • Form groups of 2 or more identical blocks side by side to merge them into a block that’s twice their value.

      • Keep merging blocks until you run out of space.
    • It costs money to lay down blocks.
      • Each block costs $20 to lay.
      • You can earn money from merging blocks and killing bugs.

  • Cash and power ups
    • You gradually earn cash as you play. You’ll need a steady amount of cash to build your defenses.
    • Besides paying for the blocks you lay down, you can also use your cash to buy power ups.
    • There are two power ups to choose from:
      • The remove block power up lets you remove a block of your choice from the grid.
      • The upgrade block power up adds a random number of block from the minimum and maximum range – enabling your money spent on buying additional block lays to go further.
    • Like with the blocks you can only use power ups if you can afford them.
      • The upgrade block feature is powerful because it allows you to lay down stronger blocks that do a lot more damage.
      • The earlier you use the upgrade blocks feature the better as it means you can lay higher power tiles with every subsequent lay & you won’t need to remove many (or even any) low value tiles from the field as you progress.
      • Initially you can only lay 2, 4, or 8, but you can lay up to 64 tiles after a few rounds of upgrades.
      • The cost of the upgrade doubles each time you use it: 128, 256, 512. 1,024, etc.
